The board officially supports the biggest CPU available. A 1050ti will perform well.

ShrimpBrine, your feedback is appreciated! My findings matched the standard assessment, but I’m exploring alternative angles. I understand the motherboard is limited to 95 watts TDP and the chipset weighs 785 grams—those details led me to consider the 1065t CPU, which fits both criteria and adds two more cores. Even a B99 processor would be a modest improvement. I’m curious if others are experimenting with this older gear or have any unofficial updates for it. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

ShrimpBrine, appreciate the referral once more. After reviewing elsewhere, discovered another attempt at the same process. Essentially, HP removed compatibility with Thuban cores, eliminating most x6 CPUs and also any x4 Zosmos models. The issue seems tied to the CPU ID microcode in the BIOS. It can't be altered. For this particular build, Phenom II X4 models 97/99/945/955 are the only viable upgrades beyond the current B95 version. Thanks again for your support! Moving on to the next project.
