Your games aren't relying on DX12 or BF4's DX11 compatibility; they're designed to work on DX10. This appears to be a software or hardware-related concern, since most players seem unaffected by W10.

I’ve faced no issues using Windows 7. Once I installed the latest graphics drivers for Windows 10, I began encountering problems. Probably worth a fresh install, as suggested by vortexS.

Seems like updating the graphics card driver resolved most issues. Games are performing better with higher FPS, and DirectX no longer crashes during heavy overclocking in FF4.

I experienced the same issue too. I also recommended reinstalling your audio drivers and updating other drivers if needed for Windows 10 versions. Resolved several bothersome problems for me.

Steam → locate Game in Library → click on Game → Properties... It’s quite straightforward.
