Hello! I’m looking for a new CPU motherboard and RAM setup. With a budget of around $600, I want something reliable that won’t bottleneck, especially with my RTX 2060. My PSU is 600 watts, so that’s a good power capacity. Thanks in advance for your help!

I would suggest an ASUS Prime Z690-P. A solid 200 dollar ATX board with header space for future Thunderbolt 4 cards. Pair it with an i7-13700K and a discrete GPU to save money on a higher-end CPU, aiming for around 600 dollars total.

You don’t need a high-end GPU right now if you won’t upgrade soon. An i3-12100 works well with an RTX 2060. If you plan to upgrade later, consider something like an i5-12400. I’d recommend the MSI PRO B660M-A WIFI for your board.

Waiting a short time will likely lower the cost of AM5 boards, while A-series options become more affordable.

A Ryzen 5 5600 could match the performance of the 12400 in many scenarios.
