I considered switching from the Ryzen 5 5600G to the Ryzen 9 5900X. The B550-F Gaming Wi-Fi board looks compatible, but I wanted to double-check everything. I planned to use a Noctua NH-D15 140mm cooler, though I’m not sure if it would provide sufficient cooling. Appreciate any advice!

Everything functions smoothly, confidently—no bios update needed, though you should still update it. The NH-D15 provides ample cooling for the CPU.

Seek the 5700X3D or 5800X3D for gaming use. Both offer 8 cores and 16 threads with ample cache for games. The Peerless Assassin SE120 is a better choice than Noctua, which tends to be costly.

You're looking at options where larger sizes like 5700x3D or 5800x3D are available, and you're comparing an HD 15 to a more affordable thermal right peerless model. The NHD 15 seems expensive relative to its performance, while the 120 offers solid value at around $35.
