Upgrade your CPU for better performance.
Upgrade your CPU for better performance.
You're looking at performance differences between your current setup and a potential upgrade. It seems the 5900X with LF3 360 might not gain much over 5900X when switching to 5800X3D, especially at higher resolutions like 4K. The 7900XT could offer a slight boost in high-refresh scenarios, but its 3D cache might not be enough to make a noticeable difference. You're considering whether to upgrade the CPU first or stick with your current board for now, aiming to maintain 60fps while exploring a new motherboard.
It's not worth it, you'll see some FPS boosts in certain games at 1440p, but likely nothing significant at 4K. Upgrading to a 7800x3d display will help a bit in 1440p, though it won't make much difference at higher resolutions.
The 7800x3d costs only slightly more than the 5800x3d, around $20 extra, but you still need a new board and DDR5 RAM. At least +$300 for a good board and 32GB of memory is recommended. The platform should last at least three years, so it’s wise to upgrade now rather than later. Prices for boards and RAM are likely to rise instead of fall.
I have no that cash right now, so I just bought new mobo with WiFi/BT5.2, and for now, I'm all set I think. Cuz GPU is fast enough, CPU can keep up, no need for any extra pcie WiFi, I have 32Gb Ddr4 3600 cl16, so there is no game which would not running at the moment, so I guess I will save some money, and I will buy some Ryzen 10800X3D Edit: I forgot mention that I using usb c on the front of my NZXT H9 Flow, but with current Asus F gaming I can't because there is no port -_-, but Aorus Elite AX V2 have this.
