I thought about getting a upgrade for the holiday season. I was wondering if swapping in a Ryzen 7 3700X would make sense compared to just upgrading my current setup. I’m not sure if it’s worth it or if a better case or cooler would be more important. Since I already have a strong RTX 2070, I think the main issue might be with my CPU. I don’t play very demanding games, but when I do, performance drops noticeably. Upgrading the CPU could help, but I’m not sure it’s necessary right now.

X470? I personally would upgrade the cooler. X470 + Ryzen 2nd gen + RTX 2070 Super = decent, but the stock cooler is not the best.

Sure, I'm also considering switching to a new cooler. From some tests I've seen, the savings don't seem significant at around $300.
