I'm planning to upgrade my CPU. I mostly play Escape from Tarkov. I'm okay with the price, but if it offers more power for less cost, that's fine. My current specs are i7-6700k, 1080ti, 32GB RAM. I initially considered the i7-9700k for better performance, but then thought about the R5 3600 and its price. If FPS drops by around 10-15 compared to the i7, I'll definitely go with the R5.
I believe your current CPU is working well. You'll see higher FPS with the i7 9700K, but for now, hold off on the Zen 3 CPU. Your 6700K remains adequate as it stands.
