I'm using an AMD A8 7650k CPU without relying on its built-in graphics, and it's not powerful enough for most modern games. I've found a package covering everything I need—motherboard, CPU, RAM, and cooler—and I'm curious about how much better the AMD FX 8350 would be compared to it. Thanks ahead!

No real improvement TBH, in fact it's more of either a side or downgrade because you won't see enough difference to be worth it. I don't know what you ultimate plans are, budget or anything else but a good AM4 with a Ryzen 5 (3600/3600x) would be miles ahead of either setup - And you woudn't even have to break the bank to do it. Even something based on a 2600/2600x would be way better.

It's not much better at all. Consider any Ryzen 7 or Haswell or newer i7.

Even with a Ryzen 3 1200, it would perform better than the FX-8350.

I don't understand your graphics setup, but a Ryzen 5 2400G or 3400G would be a significant improvement for a budget build.

Thanks for the assistance! It's still a bit unfamiliar with this setting.

Pre-Ryzen AMD parts are really outdated. For a budget boost, consider an $85 R5 1600 AF—similar to the R5 2600 but cheaper. For a bit more spending, opt for an R5 3600.
