Upgrade your CPU and motherboard for better performance.
I'm preparing your upgrade and have some questions about what to do with existing software. Before installing the new components, it's a good idea to check if any drivers or firmware are still needed for the old motherboard or CPU. Let me know if you'd like advice on that!
You don’t necessarily need to reinstall Windows. You can install your M.2 drive and all your files directly onto it, then download the appropriate drivers for your motherboard. Just make sure to remove any existing drivers before proceeding. If you do uninstall previous ones, follow the steps in your motherboard’s BIOS or driver setup guide to safely clear them.
Simply place the SSD into the new setup and power on. Windows already manages full hardware changes well, and the main adjustment is adding more processing units while keeping the same chipset. You might need to reinstall RGB tools if it doesn’t detect your board immediately, but most functions should operate normally.
