Hey everyone, I'm trying to decide between these RAM options for my laptop upgrade. The new one is an RX6800M with 5900HX and a new CL20 module. I have a used CL22 RAM available online. I'm considering buying the new RAM at a discounted rate or going with the used one. After reviewing, it seems the new RAM might cost more than 20%—maybe closer to 30% after I negotiate. I want to make sure I choose wisely. Thanks for any advice!

It seems you're questioning why you need 32GB of RAM. Are you certain you're not overpaying for slower performance? Do you prefer a RAM module with a heatsink?

Thank you for your reply. You’re considering 32GB RAM for 4K editing and streaming games. The current 16GB setup is near its limit during multitasking, so upgrading would be a good move given the slower 1RX16 RAM installed. I thought CL20 would perform better than CL22 on a desktop, which aligns with what you heard. You don’t seem to need a heat sink unless you’re concerned about space in the chassis.
