Hi everyone, I just acquired a 2013 Razer 14 at a very reasonable price. While I understand you can’t modify the CPU or other major components, I was curious about swapping out the whole motherboard for a newer one.

The main concern would be finding a compatible new Razer motherboard. It's unlikely Razer will provide one directly. The quick response is no, it's not possible. Several factors contribute to this difficulty, such as differing I/O ports that may not match the laptop's setup, requiring modifications to the chassis. Additionally, connections to monitors are often unique, adding further complexity due to laptops' compact designs and proprietary systems.

I've heard about razer and a few folks who upgraded their '14 to '15 motherboards. I'm curious—does the '13 model offer the same I/O? It seems likely!
