Hi! Your system has a decent build for Windows 7. The Intel T2050 at 1.60GHz and 2GB RAM should work fine, but the GeForce 7300 is quite old. Make sure your motherboard supports it. Good luck with the upgrade!

The program should execute smoothly with version 7. For optimal speed, consider using XP or installing Linux.

I share @matzeesch's thoughts. It's tough to determine why newer Windows versions get developed. Remember, manufacturers probably don't provide drivers for Windows 7, so you might need to rely on general drivers.
