Hey there! I understand your concern about upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. Since you're unsure how to reinstall after a year, here are some options: You can perform a clean install, which will erase everything on your hard drive. To get the license key, you can download an ISO file and burn it to a USB stick, or use a recovery media. Let me know if you need more details! Best of luck with the upgrade, Vashan.

The license should be linked to your MS account.

Sure thing. I’m ready to explore this. You have four Windows 8.1 license keys across various PCs. Do you think there’s a chance to upgrade these keys later, allowing you to reinstall Windows 10? Or would you need to keep using 8.1 and upgrade separately?

Microsoft says you can perform a fresh installation after upgrading. This usually involves receiving a product key. They need it because Windows requires a valid key to function, and they can't use the same key for all versions.

Thank you for your feedback. I prefer using my local account and maintaining separate logins for all Microsoft apps.
