Using the MediaCreationTool, can you find a way to apply the previous ISO (a 3GB file that was already downloaded) during Windows 10 setup? This would avoid having to re-download the entire 3GB every time. It feels really wasteful, especially on DSL connections where each attempt takes a long time. I’m stuck with this generic error and no clear solution—can’t tell if the PC is ready to proceed. Please try running setup again.

You can save Rufus and guide the ISO to create a bootable USB drive. It’s a lightweight tool that relies on your computer and the ISO file stored there.

Save the installation as an ISO file and use Rufus to burn it onto a USB drive.
