Then I would do the RAM thing, sell the 1x8GB stick, and be all set for a while. No need to spend money for more performance when what you have is adequate for your current needs/wants.

If you don’t intend to upgrade soon, increasing your RAM to 16GB would be a good idea (some games require more than 8GB). Since you’re using comparable parts, I’m satisfied with the current performance. With this amount of RAM, you could either purchase another module (not necessarily the same brand, just matching speed and case) or sell your existing one and buy something similar.
