You can likely reuse the same disk for your laptop after installing Windows on your new desktop. Just make sure the drive is properly formatted and connected correctly. If you need more space, you might consider purchasing an additional drive.

You may reuse the same disk, but a new key is required to verify it if the license purchased with the disk applies only to one machine.

I didn’t need to insert the key into the old device. (Maybe) Could I try using it on the box? Where can I find a replacement key?
