Before switching to Win11 Pro, Windows 10 performed perfectly. After the upgrade and updates from BIOS to drivers, the only problem I face is when I leave my PC idle for a while and try to move the mouse—it keeps displaying black with no signal. This didn’t happen with Windows 10; simply moving the mouse restores the monitor. I’m struggling to find a solution. A community support member recommended turning off the screen saver and limiting how long the monitor stays off. It doesn’t seem logical since I never encountered this before. Do you have any advice? Should I upgrade to a new Windows 11 version? Here are my specs: Windows 11 Pro, Asus ROG Strix B450 Gaming, AMD Ryzen 2700x (not overclocked), 16 GB RAM @3200 (DOCP Active), Samsung M.2 980 1TB, XFX Radeon RX 580 8GB.

A new setup might work, but you don’t have to purchase another version. Your device already has a license linked to it. Download the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool from Microsoft, make a USB drive, and install a clean copy. If you choose a fresh installation, remember to save all important files beforehand.

Are all components activating and displaying? Is it just the mouse or does the keyboard respond as well?

After several attempts, I encountered more issues, such as removing and reinstalling the Radeon software. The problem persisted until I used the AMD Uninstall Tool and reinstalled it. It worked! Appreciate any suggestions from the discussion.

Another update: The same problem is happening once more. I discovered a thread where another person reported the same issue. It turns out the Microsoft Game Input keeps changing and resetting, leading to crashes. I’m trying to uninstall it to check if that resolves the matter.

The issue really starts from the beginning, not just about Win11 being perfect. I haven’t run into any problems with it, but it seems Windows requires it. Unless you're using something like KBM, you might be fine. It looks like upgrading wasn’t necessary—just a fresh install would be better when switching to a new operating system... that’s essentially what Win11 offers.
