Upgrade to Windows 11.
You're considering upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11. It's good to know your PC supports Windows 11. Whether the bugs are fixed depends on the updates released since your current version. You might want to check the latest release notes or wait for any major patches before making the switch.
Seek additional capabilities Microsoft added to Windows 11 that aren’t available in Windows 10, or opt for the older version if needed.
It works well for everyday tasks, especially on my laptop when testing before installing on my desktop. However, I encountered a frustrating issue that I’m not sure about. I wouldn’t suggest making the change unless you have a NAS or any network storage at home. If my laptop can’t reach the NAS, it will constantly indicate the share is unavailable and repeatedly attempt to connect, causing delays. When downloading files from a browser to another unrelated drive, the entire browser freezes briefly while it tries to establish the connection.
I'm really pleased with my switch to W11. So far, I haven't faced any major issues, and I've been using it on my only PC since its official release.
I own five Windows PCs at home linked to a Microsoft Server 2022 Standard edition. I also upgraded two older Lenovo laptops to W11, an older Lenovo M900 Tiny, and my primary gaming/productivity machine (X370/Ryzen 1800). All installations were clean rather than replacements. So far I haven’t faced major problems except a small driver issue caused by an incorrect download. The PC running Windows 10 (Z170) is still active, and I intend to upgrade it this weekend. I believe many issues have been resolved now. If you need to back up your current setup, you can always revert if needed. We’ve liked W11 so far—my wife thinks it looks nice. lol
