You’ll likely retain your existing hard drive partitions unless you format them during installation. Reinstalling an OS from scratch usually creates a new partition, so you can choose to keep your current partitions or start fresh with a new one.

It shouldn't cause any problems; my system wasn't impacted by the change. You'll keep your old OS on the boot drive for a month or until you remove it, giving you time to revert if needed. Also, be mindful with an AMD 2xx GPU—Microsoft's latest patch hasn't worked well yet. I'd probably wait about a week before checking if they address the issue.

You're running a 280, but there might be some issues to check.

I revert to version 8.1 Pro three times from Windows 10 Pro. Issues with binary NT in Windows 10.

Screen tear initially blocked my drivers but remained after resetting to the previous state. It still appears on the Valley benchmark more than in the game.

It's not necessary to be a big gamer for updates—Windows patches are applied automatically through updates.

Whether you're into it or not  I chuckle but it's not really funny. The updater doesn't factor in what you're doing. That's led to two crashes for me. It does prompt you about using it, similar to someone asking if they can have a chip while taking one...

Sure, thanks. I went up because what's the point? It looks fine so far. But we'll keep an eye on it.
