Upgrade to Windows 10 (Assistance Required)
Upgrade to Windows 10 (Assistance Required)
I chose to switch to Windows 10 but first checked if it was available at no cost. I bought my laptop several years back and it originally ran Windows 8, but someone changed it to Windows 7 for me. I wanted to find out if I could upgrade to Windows 10 without paying or if I still needed a license. Someone mentioned that all Windows 8/8.1/10 OEM systems come with a built-in product key. If that’s correct, will Microsoft Office remain free after the upgrade, or will I need an additional key?
You can get an upgrade for free before year’s end using this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/accessib...0000000)(). Office is a distinct product from Windows, so you’ll only have the tools you currently possess.
It doesn't matter unless the window is urging you to turn it on; otherwise, it should be "real."
It seems you're not triggering the feature since I haven't enabled Windows Update in about four years.
