You could easily run a 9900K without problems, but purchasing a used one would be perfect if you can secure a reasonable price. For new components, a Ryzen 7 5800X offers better value compared to the Ryzen 7 Core i9 and Alder Lake processors like the 12600K.

Both devices support WiFi connectivity. The Raspberry Pi Zero 2W uses 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n technology, while the Raspberry Pi 4 offers both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz 802.11ac standards.

Given how expensive the Core i9 is, it might be better to choose the Ryzen instead.

Consider using the remaining funds for your GPU upgrade. (GTX 1070)

It might be tough to locate a suitable GPU at a fair cost right now. Consider checking Newegg for options like the 3060 Ti or 3070, or explore eBay and nearby listings for a used 2070 that matches your budget.

Yes, it's best to wait until the shortage ends and secure a 3060.

The 3060 would make a solid improvement. Once the scarcity ends, you’ll likely be able to get one for about 300–350 dollars.

If you save enough, you could possibly buy a CPU and GPU, but replace the PSU too.

A Corsair Hydro H75 could potentially handle cooling for CPUs, but its effectiveness depends on the specific model and workload.
