Upgrade the Windows storage drive.
Hello. I just purchased an upgrade to my M.2 512GB SSD, which now holds my Windows files plus other data like Steam games. All other M.2 slots are full on my motherboard, and I want to swap out the main C drive. How would I do this without losing anything else? P.S. I’m fine if I lose the Steam games.
Alternatively, you can temporarily take out one of your data-only m.2 drives to create space for cloning your Windows drive (swap them later if needed). Another option is purchasing a USB enclosure for your m.2 and using it to clone the drive. Choosing the enclosure lets you keep your older 512GB drive functioning as a high-speed USB storage device.
