8350K is slightly quicker than your 3570K, though the difference isn't huge and both are 4C/4T. If you're leaning toward Intel and can't afford the 10th generation, stick with your 3570K. From my perspective, the only sensible 8th or 9th generation CPUs are the 9900K. It still works well and its price has dropped (from around 520,000 euros to about 380,000 euros for a new one in my country). The 8700K and 9700K are also decent options, but it all comes down to your budget and specs. The 8700K needs proper cooling or else it'll overheat. The 9700K doesn't support hyperthreading. For the 10th gen, go for 10400; for strong performance, consider 10600K. If you're on a tighter budget, the 10850K or 10900K are great choices.
It's quite appealing to purchase a 10600k for just €60 less. My goal was to opt for older models and second-hand options because I might need to sell it within six months after moving to the Philippines once the pandemic subsides. If I have to resell it, I risk losing money. However, by keeping only the case, PSU, and monitor, I could save costs since hardware is cheaper there compared to the Philippines. But another concern is that my gaming setup might be reduced again when I relocate.
I can purchase a used 9900k with an Asus Z390-A at the same cost as a new 10600k using an Asus Z490-P. The 9900k offers less power consumption and more cores, which is what I was looking for. Although I’ve always wanted a 9900k, I’m still unsure. Buying used isn’t an issue for me.
I’d upgrade to an ASRock Z490 (or a more affordable version) and connect it with a 10400F paired with a high-speed memory module.

The 9900K clearly outperforms the 10600K, making it a strong option if you can find it at a comparable price. The reduced power consumption comes from its lower base clock speed. The 9900K features a base clock of 3.6GHz and boosts to 5.0GHz, while the 10600K runs at 4.1GHz with a boost of 4.8GHz. Overclocking the 9900K would likely increase its power usage.
