Upgrade system now.
I've chosen to treat my system with a bit of extra care. I'm planning a CPU upgrade and wanted your thoughts on the best approach. Right now I have: CPU - i5 7600k up to 4.9GHz, Motherboard - MSI Z270 Kraig gaming GPU, GPU - MSI GTX 1080 Ti Armor OC, PSU - Corsair RX750i, RAM - Kingston HyperX Furry Dual Channel (16GB), 2400MHz stock cooler - Corsair H110i (older model). I'm not worried about cost since it's mostly for gaming and programming. I was considering the AMD Ryzen 9 3900X but my cooling isn't sufficient and the PSU might not fit. Also, I'm thinking about boosting RAM as it's recommended to use the highest possible clock speed on AMD. Thanks!
Sure, I understand. Here’s an example of what I’m open to discussing. Please let me know your expectations so we can align better.
You could expect around $900 USD, with a slight variation, since lower prices are preferable. My options are limited by the nearby store, so I’ll adjust any online listings by adding roughly $50 to get my local cost.
Only link the 8-pin connector when you're pushing your CPU to its maximum capacity To ensure stable power delivery
It looks like your PSU doesn't have a 4-pin connector. You might need a different type of cable depending on the power delivery requirements. Let me know if you need more details!
