Upgrade? Should I? Moving from a Ryzen 1600 to 3600?
I have a Ryzen 1600 and a GTX 1070 Ti. I mainly play first-person shooters like CSGO and Apex Legends. I prefer lower graphics settings to maintain good frame rates. For CSGO I usually get over 220fps, but Apex Legends is much slower—even at reduced settings I still reach around 110fps, which doesn’t match my monitor’s 144Hz. I’m hoping for more frames but don’t want to upgrade right away. Streaming was a problem too because the 1600 struggled with 1280x720 at 3600kbps. I meant to say it wasn’t up to the task, and I apologize if my wording came across as odd. My current time is 4:20. Thanks, Mak.
I own a B450 ASUS Prime with some letters. I attempted to overclock to 1600, but only got 3.8GHz. I'm checking if my GPU has enough unused power due to the CPU.
When you're using low difficulty in CSGO and Apex with a 1070ti graphics card, performance should remain stable at about 60-70% of maximum load.
