Considering the upgrade options in Japan with a budget of around 30,000 yen, comparing the R5 5600 plus 8GB RAM versus the R7 5700X could help you decide. The performance improvement might be noticeable, but Intel might still offer better value. Your current setup supports smooth gaming and development tasks.

The 5600 offers a solid improvement. Your reference to 64GB seems incorrect—please confirm the total RAM size you're using.

Total amount adjusted is complete. Appreciate it. Uncertain if I'm hitting memory limits, but checking RAM usage in Task Manager shows consistently over 80%, mainly due to many Chrome tabs.

You'd notice a significant boost. Zen3 offers 20 to 40% greater performance compared to Zen+ on identical clocks, varying by use case. 5800x3D delivers even more. Additionally, 4 8GB modules support Dual Channel Dual Rank, which on Zen provides a clear advantage over standard Dual Channel (single rank). Zen3 also enables RAM speeds exceeding 3000 fully stable, with 3600 reaching its potential.

5700X performs well, offering better performance with eight cores compared to six on the 5600. For budget constraints, the 5600 remains a solid choice.

Are you experiencing any issues with your current setup? Are there any games that push your CPU to its limits? If not, you probably won’t notice significant improvements. I’d better save the cash and put it toward a better monitor later. Something like a 1440p 27-inch would be ideal. If prices drop enough, even an HDR model might be worth it. You’ll always have the chance to upgrade to a decent used Ryzen 5X in a few years.

This claim isn't accurate; 5600 performs significantly better than 2600. He's equipped with a 2070 super, which remains a solid GPU. Expect performance improvements particularly in CPU-intensive titles. If higher clock speeds like 12400 and 12600K deliver similar gains, then 2600 and 5600 should too.

He mentioned there might be issues with his CPU, but he claims it should still maintain around 100 FPS in any game, which keeps it decent. You might see some gains, though they likely aren’t worth the cost if you’re tight on money. Alternatively, switching to a higher-resolution monitor could boost productivity and visual quality, but it might also make the GPU the main limiting factor again.

I agree with the argument, though your claim about no performance improvement seems incorrect. Also, looking at the games he mentioned, focusing on higher FPS and better FPS drops would likely come first, which makes sense since he mentioned a CPU upgrade.
