I need to improve my memory capacity. My current setup includes a Ryzen 5 5600X at 3.7ghz, an MSI PRO B550-VC ATX motherboard, and a Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 2400 RAM. I was checking supported speeds for my motherboard but noticed two different lists—one mentioning X-AMP and another from Jedec. The MSI manual didn’t provide clear guidance. I’m aiming for a dual-channel configuration supporting 32GB, matching my motherboard’s capabilities. Could someone point me in the right direction? Your help would be greatly appreciated!
JEDEC is a non-gaming memory, often launching only at startup and running smoothly at 1.2v. The highest DDR4 available is 3200. Crucial and Kingston offer this type of memory and sell a lot of it. Find a value around 3200 C14 to 3600 C18. A 3600 CL16 would be ideal.
