Hello, I currently own a Radeon RX 570 Pulse with 8GB of graphics memory and have switched to a Gigabyte RX5500XT 8GB OC card for 105 Euros. Is this a significant upgrade for my graphics setup? Please share your thoughts.

Upgrade reason: GPU performance drops in newer games, no security updates for RX580, but RX5500XT still supported.
The 5500 XT offers a speed boost of 15-25%, and occasionally even higher. It matches the performance of an RX 580 8GB or GTX 1060 6GB or GTX 1650 Super (with just 4GB VRAM). I’d skip GPUs with under 8GB VRAM if you need sustained performance.
For noticeable gains in newer titles, aim for a RX 5600 XT or GTX 1080. A GTX 1070 or 1070 TI would sit in the middle ground between these options. With a 5500 XT, you’ll likely run most games at the lowest 1080p settings and probably use FSR v2 or v3 for a balance between quality and speed.
I’d check local prices to determine the extra cost for a GTX 1070, 1070 TI, 1080, or RX 5600 XT.
Save until you can obtain a substantial upgrade similar to an 9060xt with 16gb.
The RX 9060 XT is expected to be out of reach for their budget, possibly four times or more than what they currently have. The GPUs I mentioned would only cost around 20-30 euros if available, and they could even locate a used RX 6600, 6600 XT, or 6650 XT for 135-165 euros, representing a significant improvement over an RX 570.
