Are there any problems with achieving 100fps? The 2700x remains a solid CPU for gaming. Using MSI Afterburner could help monitor GPU load during games. Most high-end graphics titles should handle that 2080 smoothly. Esports scenarios usually don’t face this issue, and even with a heavily overclocked 12900k, maxing out a 2080 would be challenging.

Generally, if it's working fine, leave it alone. Just play when the performance is solid.

1440p will experience only a slight boost, probably around 5%. Buying a full new CPU for $300 isn’t wise unless you need a noticeable jump in performance—like 10 frames per second. For 4K, the improvement would be negligible.
