Upgrade PSU?

Hi,
I'm considering replacing my PSU with a RX 6800 (non-xt) but want to check if my current PSU is still adequate. My setup includes a 650W Seasonic Focus Plus Gold, which will be around five years old soon. I have two points... Should I upgrade my PSU? What wattage would be ideal? I’m thinking of purchasing a Corsair RM1000x for about £150 (UK price), which seems like a solid offer right now. The jump from 850W to 1000W is only around £20. Given the small price gap, I think the higher wattage would provide better performance. That sounds reasonable?

A reasonable 650w should work well with an RX 6800, but the Focus Plus Gold has had problems with power supply units lately. It's unclear how it will perform with an RX 6800. Try it out. If it stops, it's likely the PSU is the issue.

Ensure you're certain about the issue before proceeding.
The seasonic psu is of great quality and should suffice.
Certain graphics cards might experience significant power surges that not all power supplies can manage.
I believe your psu comes with a 10-year warranty, which means Seasonic should handle any problems for you.
