Hey there, I understand you're familiar with PCs but a bit new on processor power limits. Your setup has an All-in-One with a desktop-grade i7-6700T, rated at 35 watts. You're wondering if it can run alongside an i5-10400 or i5-9400, which have around 65 watts of base TDP. The PSU you have is maxed out at 180 watts, but some sites say different things. Ark is your choice, but I’d love a quick confirmation from someone else.

Upgrading seems unlikely at this point. Probably not possible with the current setup, maybe a 7th-gen option exists but it wouldn’t justify the change. I’d also be cautious about relying on a higher TDP chip for cooling. Overall, it looks like rebuilding is the best approach.

The motherboard wouldn't fit those components. The 6700T uses LGA 1151v1, while the 10400 is LGA 1200 and the 9400 series (including 8th/9th gen) uses 1151v2. The best socket matches is a 7700K, though I'm not sure the BIOS supports it. A 6700(K) might work but would be a small upgrade. I wouldn't consider upgrading the CPU unless necessary, as the 6700T seems optimal for this build.

You can't install a newer CPU because it won't be compatible. It seems altering the motherboard isn't feasible. A 7700T could work but it would only reach around 200 MHz, which isn't worth the hassle. If the cooling system is capable, you might attempt an older CPU from that era or even tweak the cooling setup if possible.

They mention another connector option, but it relies on the remaining components drawing sufficient power. Even if considered, it's just a minor improvement.
