I own an AMD A4 5000 with integrated Radeon graphics. It’s clear it isn’t the top choice, especially since it came out in 2013. After learning about Windows 11 and the general sluggishness of my system, I’m curious if there’s a newer upgrade that fits the same socket. My CPU frequently hits 80-99% usage in Task Manager, which suggests it’s under heavy load—possibly from Discord or other applications.

Quick searches indicate there’s nothing worth upgrading to. For those not heavily gaming, you can find an affordable old HP Business desktop on eBay and make a significant improvement.

Your processor isn't designed for upgrades—it's permanently attached to the motherboard and won't work with future models.
