Upgrade plan for future Ryzen processors

Considering the upcoming nVIDIA releases, I think upgrading my GPU and CPU/Mobo might be wise. Ryzen may struggle with just 3000mhz RAM, so I’d probably want to adjust that too. Staying with Intel seems safer right now—I have a 7700k and 32GB DDR4 at that speed.

Only problem with this is that Ryzen is very picky with ram, there is no guarantee it’ll work.

Today’s benchmarks make 7700K acceptable, but if you aim for higher performance or need readiness for tomorrow, consider upgrading.

1080Ti focused solely on gaming. Prefer the RTX of my laptop (2070), though upgrading from the 1080Ti seems costly right now. I expect things to change significantly when the next generation arrives. My desktop runs at 1440p at 144hz.

Looking ahead, many users plan to switch to Ryzen 7000 series processors. The 7700K remains a solid option for gaming.

There's always a bottle neck somewhere....... Wait for AMD Ryzen 4000 series processors and upgrade to that when the time comes.
