Hey there, I bought a 4070 Super and have an ASUS Prime B550. With a 3600Hz refresh rate, would switching to a 5800X 3D really increase my FPS? I'm using a 1440p, 170Hz monitor and mostly play Fortnite and Rainbow Six Siege. Thanks!

Yes, you'll notice a significant performance boost. If possible, take one. Even if budget is tight, the 5600 remains a solid improvement. However, the 5800X3D stands out as the leading gaming CPU for that system and works well with a 4070 Super.

Fortnite shows a big jump in frames per second. Rainbow Six also contributes a noticeable amount, though it already operates at very high FPS. If you want to save roughly $80 to $100 based on the 5800x3D price, the 5700x3D is slower but costs about $220.
