Sure, you can try booting from your USB drive and installing Windows fresh. This will remove the chipset drivers without needing a clean install. Just make sure your system is stable before doing it.

Starting with a Windows installation from a bootable USB is the best suggestion I have.

Set up your new components and connect the previous storage device. Your system will start immediately. Locate all connected devices and everything will function smoothly. I recently transferred a Core 2 Quad to a Ryzen 2700x and it’s performing exceptionally well.
