Hello, birthday is approaching and I wanted to treat my PC a bit. I currently have an alienware motherboard and the original 460W power supply, both of which I’d like to upgrade soon. Since my new case (pure BSAE 500 FX from Bequiet!) is a solid build and not a branded one, I had to adjust the power button settings a bit and the motherboard lacks RGB headers while the PCIe slots are 8x, which isn’t ideal for my 306TI. The main reason for the motherboard upgrade is that I also want to upgrade the PSU, as the wattage is a bit lower than what my hardware needs. Plus, the cables are a bit short. So, in short—I’m not sure what would be a good motherboard and PSU without spending too much money. I’d really appreciate some advice on this forum, which seems like the best place to ask. P.S. I do stream, so IO is good. Photos show my current setup.

I wouldn't. The price of purchasing a 6-year-old board will likely be much higher than necessary. It would be wiser to allocate funds toward a more recent board or CPU.

A 5600 plus motherboard tends to be more affordable than an older board.

You’d find great offers if you’re open to used models. Besides a solid PCIe connection, what else matters most for your 3060TI?

The images show my current configuration, not the board I'm interested in purchasing.

i7-7700 is old. A recent i3 is a lot faster. Better upgrade the cpu too. Besides that: I'm worried about the PSU. Why is there a 24p ATX adapter and what's the brand and model of the unit?

the original setup was an aroura r6 desktop and the adapter has always been present with a special extra gpu power connector that was connected to the motherboard. even without the adapter, the cables wouldn't reach properly.

We understand. Purchasing a board older than six years will cost significantly more than buying a newer model. And an i3 today is much faster than your i7 in any possible measurement.
