I just assembled my second rig and made some errors. I installed an asrock 970 extreme 3 mobo but thought I was going to overclock it. I ended up with a stable clock above 4.9 GHz. The mobo is the most difficult part to replace, especially with the liquid cooler now. Initially, I thought my CPU was too hot, but it never exceeded 50°C. After checking forums, people suggested updating drivers and BIOS. Flashing the new BIOS actually bricked my setup, claiming the CPU wasn't supported. Still, I’m wondering if upgrading the mobo is worth it given all the time, effort, and money involved. What do experts think?

I considered constructing a different setup and opting to sell the current one as-is.
