Upgrade old windows to a modern setup
Hello, I've been thinking about this for a while. I just installed the new 12600k CPU and more memory, and I want to keep using the same Windows that came with my SSD. There are many programs and games I enjoy, and it would be time-consuming to download and reinstall them. I'm wondering if this is possible. Would there be any issues with the existing Windows drivers after installing the new parts? Also, since my system boots automatically, how can I ensure everything works smoothly on the new PC with its updated BIOS? Thanks for your help!
You should list the Windows drive you want to use as the default in your BIOS settings, ensuring it loads before any other drives. This way, when you boot, the system will automatically select that drive.
