Hello, I've been using the MSI Trident 3 for a few years and have now decided to upgrade my RAM. I purchased two 8GB sticks that match the specifications listed on the website [https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct8g4sfra32a]. After installing them, the LEDs and fans activated, but the screen went black and neither the mouse nor the keyboard lit up. I've tried several things: putting one stick at a time to check compatibility (the motherboard has two slots), ensuring the new sticks were installed correctly (reusing the old ones worked fine), cleaning the RAM slots by blowing air through them, and using another type of RAM which also caused the same issue. [https://www.amazon.com.be/-/en/Integral-...=1-16&th=1] I've attached all the details. Please let me know if anything is missing—this is my first time dealing with this setup. I'm hoping someone can assist, as it seems like a small oversight might be causing the problem.

The issue centers on Kingston's recommendations for sticks, which typically require 8Gbit speeds (like KVR26S19S8/8). Your system is from the 6/7th generation and doesn't officially support 16Gbit. More details here: https://www.kingston.com/unitedkingdom/e...-ddr4-dram Crucial mentions that die density can vary—4Gbit, 8Gbit or 16Gbit—and Integral notes it might differ. I'm more accustomed to desktops, so I'm unsure if this applies the same way to SODIMMs.
