Just because it's marked as supported doesn't mean other settings don't work. Qvl isn't the final answer. For instance, my flare x dimmer settings weren't included in Qvl for 4x, yet they functioned great for expo.

It's not a big issue, many sticks function just fine no matter the situation. The main concerns are related to how the system or motherboard handles them. Especially with DDR5, dual-rank modules don't mesh well with four modules, causing issues when the motherboard itself has its own constraints. Strix is well recognized for its memory limits concerning speed and count.

They’re talking about DDR5 memory modules with 16GB capacity. Being single rank means the total fits in one slot, so the user’s setup of four 16GB sticks could be viable. The question is what else they might be overlooking.

Not every stick is SS; you need to verify beforehand or consult the software. That’s why I emphasized support since they specified what works. I’ve also noticed memory compatibility problems with Strix before—this isn’t the first time I’ve seen it on Strix. What kind of motherboard do you have?

They note that both 8GB and 16GB cards are single-rank. This is the case for me too... I’m using a Gigabyte B650 AORUS Pro AX with G. Skill 6000 36-36-36-96 modules.

You don't have a Strix setup. The image you shared matches what I mentioned, so double-check with the right tools. Pay attention to the line saying all 16GB should be dual-rank. I’ve noticed dual-sided 16GB modules exist, but confirming it requires software since someone told me having dual sides doesn’t guarantee dual rank. To avoid confusion, I stick to CPUZ.
