You're just starting out with PC building! Based on your background, you've got a solid foundation from Linus' tutorials. For upgrading your pre-built memory, 2x8GB sticks are a great choice. When choosing RAM, make sure to check compatibility with your motherboard and consider brands like Crucial or HyperX Fury. Look into the specifications, such as compatibility with your system and performance benefits. Other brands like Corsair or G.Skill are also worth exploring if you're open to alternatives. Good luck!

Consider upgrading before you start; ask if it’s possible. Some prebuilt units struggle with RAM speed, usually settling for the lowest compatible setting. Many of us can guide you toward the best options, so be sure to include your specifications and model in your original message—they’re crucial for a good recommendation. Without that info, I can’t suggest DDR3 or DDR4 RAM confidently.

We require a motherboard, power supply unit, and CPU. Or the name of a ready-made option.

Thank you for your response. I reviewed all the documents I received with the PC and found no details about the motherboard. I only know it is an HP-branded unit. I plan to conduct further research on the specific motherboard model.
