Hello everyone, I own a HP PC with a 6th generation Intel Core i3-6100T CPU. I’m considering buying a used one on FleaBay and upgrading the system for Windows 11. It’s a solid desktop, but I’d rather not discard it.

Can't accomplish this. The 1151 chip works differently on 6th and 7th generation CPUs compared to 8th and 9th generation ones. Although they look alike, their pin configurations are distinct, making them electrically incompatible.
