I recently purchased Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit and secured my free upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. I’m wondering if I’ll ever need to switch the OS to an SSD—perhaps upgrading it next year for better performance—and install Windows 10 automatically. If I don’t have a Windows 10 key or ISO, can I still get Windows 8.1 and upgrade to 10 through an automatic update? Should I buy a Windows 10 license?
