I’m checking the details carefully. Buying a Windows 7 Professional key from that site usually doesn’t allow upgrades directly from Home Premium unless you have the right activation method. Since you’re asking about upgrading from Home Premium to a different version without a full reinstall, it depends on whether the key is an upgrade key or just a license. If it’s not an upgrade key, you might need to purchase a new license or use a valid activation code. Always confirm with the seller or Microsoft support before proceeding.

Sorry, that's not possible. I needed to install an upgrade disc and key, similar to what you do with Windows anytime upgrades except online. Once the activation key is entered, you can simply install Windows 7 Pro without going through the full upgrade process.

You might prefer Windows 10 Pro because it offers more features and stability compared to Home Premium, but there’s really no advantage—just wasted effort.

There are certain advantages to using specialized solutions. Professional tools are often necessary for implementing advanced software RAID setups in Windows.

The motherboard manages software raid, not the operating system. All Windows 10 releases include Windows updates.

Are you sure? Windows 7 Home Premium supports it too. The hardware and the operating system can manage it together.

I prefer having the ability to manage the software updates on my PC, something Windows 10 Home doesn’t allow. Instead of automatic forced updates, I’d like full control over what gets installed. Also, I believe remote desktop is mainly intended for enterprise use—don’t go overboard with it...
