Upgrade from Ryzen 2700X to 3900X
Hey there, I just got my hands on a new Ryzen 3900X and installed it onto a Gigabyte Aorus X470 Ultra Gaming board. Before making the change, I updated the BIOS to version F50 and ran the EC FW update tool. When I first turned the PC on, it took a while to load the BIOS and get into POST. Eventually, it tried booting Windows but is now stuck in an endless loop. A restart via Automatic repair appears but doesn’t help. I’m not sure what’s going wrong. I remember this model supports 3000 Series CPUs after the BIOS update. Any suggestions?
