You'll definitely need to replace the cooler and install a new motherboard. If you can't get a Dell one, you might also have to change the power supply since Dell has been making questionable choices with their proprietary components.

@MC.Morrado don’t take this seriously because it seems incorrect. For your BIOS, open Vostro’s BIOS and check the service tag, noting the current BIOS version (Dell typically uses an Axx format where xx is a digit, like A04). Visit Dell’s support site, enter the service tag, and it should direct you to the relevant support page for that model. See if any new release is available. What many don’t share is that major OEMs such as Dell or HP often don’t mention microcode updates in their release notes. Try it yourself.
