Consider getting an i7-9700K right away since the cost remains similar. Just make sure to switch to a new motherboard that supports LGA1151 V2 for eighth-gen CPUs.

If he really needs specific information, I prefer not to push him onto new platforms unless it’s truly beneficial. I usually let individuals stay within their familiar tools.

For what purpose is AVX used with Ryzen and AVX2 on x86? Both support gaming performance. The differences are minor since both architectures work similarly. What changes actually matter?

Comet Lake-S is now available together with the Z490. This seems like a better choice compared to the older 9700K and Z390 models, in my opinion.
