Considering a new motherboard, the 10700k isn't the top pick. A 10600k with some optimization might match the in-game performance of a 10900k, and for multi-core tasks, Ryzen 7 or 9 seems more appealing. Adobe Premier still leans toward fast Intel chips, so a 10600k could still be a solid option.
It's not worth it anymore, the 7700k isn't doing well. At least wait for Zen 3. You might be able to skip the 10th gen Intel and 4th gen Ryzen if you're just playing games, and rely on the GPU for editing.
I favor Intel because it handles most games better, and Adobe Premiere also sticks with Intel chips. With a 240 Hz screen I want top frame rates, and rendering everything quicker would be great.
