Upgrade from I7 3770 to Ryzen 7 2700

Hello. I'm checking if upgrading from an i7 3770 to a Ryzen 7 2700 makes sense. I already have it, but I need to spend on 16GB DDR4 RAM and a new motherboard. Is it worth it to add the RAM+motherboard just for the Ryzen 7 2700? The GPU is GTX 1660 and the PSU is Corsair TX750M.

Noted, you already have it. A B450 Tomohawk with 16GB DDR4 3200 should be solid. Looks like it’s a good investment.

It's a significant improvement; with the CPU already in place, you can really push it to its limits.

It's debatable whether it's truly huge; your i7 is quite capable. Finding a reliable benchmark for direct gaming comparisons can be challenging.

You’ll need to tweak the settings since defaults are too low. Most runs hit around 3.4ghz, but you should reach 4.0+ghz easily, making it nearly identical to a 2700 model.
