The i5-2400 uses LGA 1155, while the i7-3770K requires FCLGA 1155. You can't directly swap them without replacing the motherboard or using a compatible adapter.

Yes, you're correct. Focus more on the chipset rather than the socket. All chips are compatible with these chipsets: H61, B65, P67, B75, Q75, Z68, H67, Z75, H77, Q77, Z77
